OTP Auth
OTP Authentication
What It Does
This module adds two-factor authentication using an authenticator app. Users will need to enter a code from their authenticator app in addition to their password when logging in.
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring something you know (your password) and something you have (your phone with the authenticator app). Even if someone discovers your password, they won't be able to log in without access to your authenticator app.
Users will need to set up their authenticator app by scanning a QR code displayed in their WordPress profile. Once set up, they'll need to enter both their password and the code from their authenticator app when logging in.
Why It Matters
Login attacks are one of the most common ways attackers try to gain access to WordPress websites.
By strengthening your login security, you significantly reduce the risk of unauthorized access to your website.
