Move Login

Move Login

What It Does

Instead of using the well-known default login URL (typically "yoursite.com/wp-admin" or "yoursite.com/wp-login.php"), users will access your login page through a custom URL that only you know.

This doesn't prevent legitimate users from logging in, but it makes it much harder for attackers to target your login form. Attackers often use automated tools that target the default WordPress login URLs. By changing the login URL, you hide your login page from these automated attacks.

Once activated, you'll be asked to choose a custom URL for your login page. After activation, users will need to use the new custom URL to log in. The old default login URL will be disabled. Make sure to save your custom login URL securely, as you'll need it to access your WordPress administration area.

Why It Matters

Login attacks are one of the most common ways attackers try to gain access to WordPress websites.

By strengthening your login security, you significantly reduce the risk of unauthorized access to your website.

How to Use

Activate this module in the Users & Login section of SecuPress settings.

Once activated, you'll be asked to choose a custom URL for your login page. After activation, users will need to use the new custom URL to log in. The old default login URL will be disabled. Make sure to save your custom login URL securely, as you'll need it to access your WordPress administration area.

Once activated, the module works automatically and provides protection for your website.

If you encounter any issues after activation, you can temporarily deactivate the module. The module will automatically remove its protection rules when deactivated.
